Many consultations have been received from Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) regarding their Local Plan. Some of the matters have been on the Parish Council Agenda since May 2023.

We wanted residents to have the opportunity to express their outline thoughts on these two proposals:
Molesworth – 10 Houses
- Land West of Brookside, Molesworth PE28 0QH
0.5 Hectares – wholly greenfield
Five houses
2024-2028
- Land opposite Jolly Hills Farm, Oundle Road, Molesworth. PE28 0QD
0.6 Hectares – wholly greenfield land

As part of the Call for Sites – there is a comment cfs:63 The Stangwood Trust C/O Robinson Hall LLP – Land South of A14, Catworth.
To convert the fields around The Fox Pub into a 26,880 sq. metre distribution hub.
The site represents a sensible and logistical site with excellent links to the A14 for an employment use or distribution space. The site is accessible via an existing entrance that could be improved to allow for HGV access and is accessible from vehicles exiting the A14 at junction 16. The site is a suitable distance from the village of Catworth to have a limited impact on residential amenity.
Although technically Catworth, it would affect Brington Gorse and Rivendale properties, just over the Parish Border.

HDC explained that The Call for Sites was issued to Town and Parish Councils along with other landowners, developers etc in case they wished to submit any land in their own parish for consideration for allocation, for example for community use. The opportunity to comment on the sites submitted will come later in the local plan preparation process once HDC have completed assessments of the potential suitability of the sites. As set out in the Local Development Scheme consulted on earlier in the year this is expected to be in spring 2024.
