Community Speedwatch and AutoSpeedWatch

The Brington MVAS (Mobile Vehicle Activated Signs) highlight we have a speeding problem, particularly Brington High Street and near the school. Breaking the 30MPH speed limit is unacceptable anywhere, but particularly near a nursery and primary school!

Brington and Molesworth Parish Council are working with Cambridgeshire Police and Community Speedwatch to reduce persistent speeding through the villages. We are further working with AutoSpeedWatch to help make Brington and Molesworth streets safer. The AutoSpeedWatch system is an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system.

Working with Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridgeshire County Council, we are determined to reduce speeding traffic through the villages.

The AutoSpeedWatch system not only records speeding, but other offences such as Untaxed, SORN, and False Number Plate vehicles. These vehicles can be reported to the Police and DLVA.

Monthly reports provided below, clearly demonstrate Brington and Molesworth speeding problems.
